In preparing for our time together, we are already feeling embraced by its beauty…the sun’s light as it creates the glow of the “Red City,” its landscape - mountains to desert - and its rich heritage - Roman, Arab, Andalusian, European and African. We will embrace Marrakech along every step of the visit - through its people, food, art, architecture, crafts, traditions, rituals and their effortless bridging between past and present.

There is no question that Yves Saint Laurent’s passion for Marrakech brought renewed life to the luscious garden created by the designer Jacques Marjorelle in 1924 containing more than 300 plant species. A signature of the garden is its color - a pigment developed by Marjorelle which he trademarked and named “Marjorelle Blue!”
Our guided visits to museums and architectural historical and contemporary icons will certainly reflect the ways in which design elements and materials have endured through the centuries.
