KORIN is home to perhaps the most extensive collection of Japanese chef knives in the world - including Japan - plus the rarest natural sharpening stones and exquisitely designed tableware. 

Founded by Aori Kowano, she moved to New York in the late 1970’s with the express purpose of bringing  over 1,000 year of Japanese knife making tradition to American restaurants and homes. You are immediately taken by their beauty and the rigor of maintaining the art form.  A visit will introduce you to the variety of blade forms and their uses as well classes on knife sharpening.
