FINANCIAL DISTRICT

Civic Center / Battery Park / Chinatown

Story of the Neighborhood . . .

The Financial District is rich in New York City history and of course home to the most influential financial institutions as well as the new headquarters of Condé Nast. By day, office workers stand in line waiting for food trucks, and after-hours the buzz dims to a quiet hum. The dining options are constantly changing to reflect the revitalization of the area. With the massive redevelopment and reopening of South Street Seaport, restaurants have been sprouting up amongst several neighborhood gems. We have found that many new establishments have been lacking the warmth and intimacy we find in so many of our selections from other parts of the city. Nonetheless, we do have a few places to recommend for dining on your own in the area. We anticipate that client meetings may bring you to this area, so below we have selected a number of neighborhood favorites that are both suitable for you, both on or off duty. Of course, the area is still growing so we will keep you posted!
