During the day, the Great Jones Street storefront is known as a butcher shop that sells Japanese meats - true waygu beef can be found here! At 7:00 pm the shop closes, but if you look ever so closely to the left there is a narrow, dimly lit hallway and at the end, a glass door whose light indicates that there is something beyond! Once you enter, you feel as if you have time traveled to Japan. There is a nice seating area for drinks and light dining at the bar, which seats about 10. It’s the perfect way to go to round two after leaving Il Buco Alimentari or one of our other lower Manhattan recommendations.
