It comes every two years and with it comes great anticipation and excitement. Beginning in 1932 by the museum's founder, Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney, this marks the 71st Biennial presentation of the Museum's signature survey of contemporary art in the United States. The art world is always abuzz making it a must see, but you be the judge!

ALIX invites you to be a part of a small group of friends on a tour of the Whitney Biennial guided by Nana Smith, a Whitney docent and friend of ALIX . With the exhibition installed in three sections over the two largest floors of the museum, Nana will give us and in-depth look at one of the sections, and highlight some of her favorite pieces in the other two sections. Discover art that piques your interest to share with friends and family on return visits, as you enjoy an afternoon of art immersion.

We'd like to continue the conversation about what we've seen over wine and small bites at the Museum's restaurant, run by Danny Meyer.
