This offshoot of the British Museum holds over 18 million different books and texts. Their greatest treasures are on view to the public, which includes the Magna Carta, the Codex Sinaiticus (the oldest copy of the New Testament), some of Jane Austen’s and Shakespeare's first writings and musical manuscripts from classics like Handel to legends like Sir Paul McCartney. They also produce landmark exhibitions, such as Alice in Wonderland.
