Sketch is a complex of uniquely designed dining environments in which you can enjoy, food, art and music. Mourad “Momo” Mazouz has curated a team of chefs and designers to put their signatures on five rooms, over two floors of this converted eighteenth-century building in Mayfair. As part of a long-term commitment of artist-conceived restaurants, each room changes every two years. One of the most popular spaces is The Gallery located at the rear of the first floor. Currently, the space is wrapped in a pink-hue decorated with plush, pink-tufted intimate booths with a small bar at the rear and with walls lined with 239 satirical, child-like sketches by Turner Prize winner, David Shrigley. A favorite time to visit is for tea, which is served from 12:30 to 4:30, much earlier than British tradition of 4:00 but you can always check in later for dinner. Head to The Glade room for evening cocktails and sit amidst the magical woodland bar conceived by artists Carolyn Quartermaine and Didier Mahieu. The entire experience is a bit quirky but always worth a consideration.
