We’re bringing back our annual Philadelphia art-filled day trip this December!
This year, we’ll explore the Marcel Duchamp retrospective at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, followed by the Noguchi to Asawa exhibition at the Barnes!
Philadelphia Museum of Art - Marcel Duchamp
Our day will begin at Daily Provisions, where we’ll enjoy a quick bite before settling into luxury transportation for our journey to Philadelphia.
Our first stop will be the Philadelphia Museum of Art, where we’ll join a private tour of the Marcel Duchamp exhibition. While the exhibition was previously presented in New York City, the Philadelphia Museum of Art is home to the largest collection of Duchamp’s work, making it a particularly special place to experience this retrospective.
The first major U.S. retrospective dedicated to Marcel Duchamp in more than 50 years, this exhibition will explore the range and arc of this artist’s illustrious career. "Marcel Duchamp" will feature a chronological display of more than 300 works of painting, sculpture, film, photography, printed matter, exhibition design, and the unclassifiable works known as readymades.
After the tour we’ll enjoy lunch at Stir. This stunning Frank Gehry–designed space is the perfect setting for an intimate lunch.
The Barnes Foundation
Noguchi to Asawa Designing Postwar America
After lunch we’ll head over to the Barnes Foundation for a private tour of Noguchi to Asawa: Designing Postwar America, an incredible exhibition featuring the works of six artists and designers. From both the East and West Coasts and representing two generations straddling World War II, these artists helped define the aesthetics of the postwar American home.

We will then travel back to NYC via luxury van and enjoy dinner at Sempre Oggi a contemporary Italian restaurant , and new ALIX favorite!
