Yotam Ottolenghi’s Soho restaurant continues his trademark tradition of celebrating bold flavors and fine ingredients with colorful platters full of salads and fresh small dishes. Israeli-born Ottolenghi has drastically changed the way Britain thinks about and eats vegetables. His distinctive mix of Middle Eastern flavors has transformed London’s food scene by prioritizing freshness and seasonality. Nopi is a new venture for the renowned chef, with a transition from grab-and-go deli style to formal seated dining. While marble and golden brass details create an elegant setting, the restaurant’s white walls and use of natural woods neutralize the space to embrace the vibrancy of Ottolenghi’s food. Although Nopi can be very lively, the bar at the rear of the restaurant maintains Ottolenghi’s signature ease and relaxation, perfect for the solo diner.
