Locanda Verde, “Green Inn” in Italian, is located in the heart of TriBeCa in Robert De Niro’s The Greenwich Hotel. The restaurant achieves the perfect harmony of a bustling and welcoming atmosphere with delectable, classic, Italian-inspired cuisine and fits any occasion or time of day, including dessert from renowned Pastry chef Karen DeMasco. The menu is filled with fashionably small antipasti plates, perfect for the solo diner who would like to relax and amuse the taste buds with bursts of flavor. The large space has been divided to create a variety of intimate dining sections with curving leather and wood-rimmed banquettes, a granite-topped brasserie-style bar and café tables intermingled throughout the restaurant. Although renovated, signs of the building’s age are present: the pressed tin ceiling harkens back to the history of the area. Consistent, but still vibrant, Locanda Verde embodies TriBeCa’s casually stylish sensibilities.
