About the Author

Hisham Matar was born in New York City to Libyan parents. He was raised in Libya, Egypt and now lives in London. He is the author of two novels - In The Country of Men (shorlisted for the Man Book Prize 2006), Anatomy of a Disappearance (2011), as well as his recent memoir The Return.
