Beneath a vast number of government and Treasury buildings is a series of underground rooms. It was from these spaces that Winston Churchill and his team directed troops in World War II. Left almost exactly as it was at 5pm on the last day of the war, the museum displays the site of what was a busy round-the-clock war office. The War Rooms are part of the Imperial War Museum.
